Introduction and Objective > Forms of Communication > Boundaries and Non-Verbal Communication > Communicating Boundaries > Communicating Boundaries > Personality and Communication Style > Summary
There are many ways people communicate with each other. We most often communicate with words, but our non-verbal communication also plays a big role in whether or not our message is understood. Our personalities make our non-verbal communications unique. One area where non-verbal communication is important is with setting boundaries. Boundaries are an important part of setting limits on what is and is not acceptable in a relationship.
If you or anyone you know has experience with these or other difficult situations, it’s important to know that you’re not alone. Talking to a parent, teacher, counselor, family member, or other trusted adult can help you to resolve the situation before things become too difficult to control.
Before you go to the next page, make sure that you’re ready for your assessment.
