Introduction and Objective > Forms of Communication > Boundaries and Non-Verbal Communication > Communicating Boundaries > Communicating Boundaries > Personality and Communication Style
Our personalities shape who we are. It forms the basis of how we think and how we do things, and everyone has their own style of communicating that fits their unique personality. This could be the choice of words used to describe how one is feeling or thinking, but it could also be the way the message is sent. Take a moment and think about the important people in your life. These could be friends, family members, teachers, or any other person. How do these people communicate with you both verbally and non-verbally? How do you feel when presented with someone’s non-verbal communication? How does their personality impact the way they communicate with you and others? Knowing someone’s personality will help you understand their non-verbal messages.
