Introduction and Objective > Ask Questions > Respond Appropriately > Asking Questions
Read the following scenario.
John and Francine have been dating for nearly a year. One day, John’s friend Max noticed that John had missed school for a few days and had failed a few tests. After thinking about it for a bit, Max noticed that he and John had not hung out very much over the past few months. In fact, every time Max invited John to hang out, John was always with Francine. One time, John and Max were at the basketball game after school, and Francine came in very angry that John had lied to her, saying he was staying home. She even slapped his arm as they left together. Max thought that John might be in an unhealthy relationship and wanted to ask him about it.
