Communication

Is it Healthy or Unhealthy?

Read the scenario and determine whether it is an example of healthy or unhealthy communication.

Jolie and Carrie are sitting next to each other drawing with art supplies that Jolie has brought from home. When Jolie turns to talk to another friend, Carrie grabs Jolie’s set of markers and hides it in her lap. Jolie turns back to pick up a marker, notices they are gone, and suspects that Carrie stole them. Jolie asks Carrie if she took her markers. Carrie blushes and says that yes she did. Jolie tells Carrie that she may use the markers, but that she doesn’t like that she tried to hide them from her. Carrie apologizes, returns the markers to place on the table where they had been, and the two girls continue to draw.
