1. Conclusion

As the last part of this lesson, instruct students to engage with parents/guardians/friends about the following questions, after class time. This exercise is intended to relate the lesson to real-life scenarios and characteristics that are relevant in the student's life. Parents, guardians, and friends will be able to help students to recognize similarities and differences, and reiterate the importance of being unique. This exercise should address the following main points from the lesson:

  • Everyone is unique and no two people are the same.
  • Being unique is a good thing.
  • Two people can share similarities, but their differences are what make them unique.
  • Unique qualities are what make us special.

2. Take-Home Activity

Provide students with the Snowflake Reflection take-home activity and inform them that the conversations that they have with their parents or guardians will be discussed in class tomorrow.
