Introduction and Objective > Healthy Relationships > Unhealthy Relationships > Identifying Relationship Characteristics
Read the scenario below and answer the question that follows.
Jill and Justin have been dating for a month. At the beginning of their relationship, Jill would wish Justin good luck before football practice, and he would carry her books when they were on their way to class. After a few weeks, Jill’s attitude toward Justin began to change. She would threaten to break up with Justin if he didn’t do her homework, and treated him like a servant. She told him that she didn’t like the way that he dressed, and would make fun of his outfit every day until he started wearing the kinds of clothes that suited her. When Justin tried to talk to Jill abut how he was feeling in the relationship, she made him feel guilty by explaining the unhealthy behaviors that she experienced in a previous relationship.
