Safety Playbook for Individual Development
and Engagement of Responsible Students
Introduction and Objective > What is Character? > How Do I Show My Character?
It is important to pay attention to your character. It is the way that people view you as a person. Your character is visible in your actions and words and is most noticeable in the way you treat others. If you stand up for someone who is being bullied, others might see you as compassionate and virtuous. However, if you are the one who is being the bully, others would not view you in the same way, but rather as someone who is dishonest or unjust. Keep in mind that your true character shows when no one else is around. That is the true you, and the person you should want to be all the time.
