Introduction and Objective > Healthy Relationships > Unhealthy Relationships > Healthy or Unhealthy?
Read the following scenario and choose whether each situation is a sign of a healthy or unhealthy relationship.
Doris and Matt started dating at the beginning of the summer. At the start, they were open and honest with each other. They spent many days together, but also set aside time to spend with friends and family. Toward the end of the summer, though, things started to change. Matt became more jealous and controlling. He told Doris that she had to spend all of her time with him. He would get jealous whenever they were apart and constantly text her. One day he stole her cell phone and read text messages from her friends that they were concerned about her. Matt confronted Doris and became very angry, telling her that she wasn’t allowed to talk to her friends anymore.
