Following the Rules

Why is it Important to Follow the Rules?

But, just as no one could tell you what to do, you couldn’t tell anyone else what to do, either.

Imagine that you are riding your brand-new bike down the street. Someone comes up to you, pushes you off of your bike, and rides off with it. What do you do now? You can’t make them give it back to you, and you can’t get an adult to do that, either. There are no rules. What would traffic look like?

Without stop lights, everyone would try to go at the exact same time. Accidents would happen. People would get hurt. This is exactly why we have rules: to protect everyone, and to make sure that things are as fair as possible for everyone.
