S.P.I.D.E.R.S. Program
Safety Playbook for Individual Development
and Engagement of Responsible Students
Introduction and Objective >
Have you ever met someone who has a positive attitude and always seems to look on the sunny side of things? How about someone who always seems to be a bit more pessimistic and is always waiting for the worst things to happen?
Now, think about the types of behaviors these two individuals get themselves into. How does each person respond to change? Do they get upset or excited? How do they handle tragedy? What types of relationships do they form?
All of our friends have different personalities and attitudes, and that’s okay. Everyone is allowed to be unique. But have you ever stopped and wondered just how we formed these attitudes?
Today’s lesson objective is: Students will discuss what influences our attitudes and behaviors regarding relationships and sexuality, and they will explain how those influences affect our attitudes and behaviors regarding relationships, sexuality, and health.
