Safety Playbook for Individual Development
and Engagement of Responsible Students
Introduction and Objective >
Take a few minutes and think about what qualities are important for a healthy relationship. You might think of such qualities as honesty, trust, respect, listening, freedom, kindness, mutual affection, and shared decision-making. These are all important qualities to have in a healthy relationship. Although these qualities should exist for all relationships, such as with friends, family members, and peers, they are vitally important for romantic relationships. This lesson will focus on why these qualities are important and will help you make sure they are included in all of your relationships.
Today’s lesson objective is: Students will compare and contrast different friendships and dating relationships to determine whether they are healthy or unhealthy.
